This is a very common condition of the skin of the face which has many features.

redness/heat/flushing of the central face

Pimples and blemishes

Broken blood vessels

Other types of rosacea include the following:

Changes in the texture of skin

Thickening of the skin especially around the nose

Red itchy eyes

Rosacea skin if often dry but people may have very oily spots as well.

Rosacea is very sensitive to environment.

Common triggers for rosacea include the following:

UV exposure
-
Temperature extremes
-
Extreme wind
-
Spicy foods
-
Red wine
-
Hot baths
-
Make sure to moisturize your skin daily.

Wash with gentle cleansers daily and then moisturize.

A low strength salicylic acid wash (about 5% or less) is often helpful but higher strengths of abrasive acids and exfoliants can flare rosacea skin.

Cool skin off immediately after exercise.
